XC Planner is a Google Maps based planning tool for paragliders.
I know nothing about paragliding so I don't feel entirely qualified to comment on this map but it looks very impressive. Using the map you can select the type of paragliding flight you wish to undertake and then drag and drop the turning points. Coloured polygons on the map (I presume) show thermals (although I may be completely wrong).
