Getting a Job with Google Maps

Maployed

Maployed! is a Google Map that displays job vacancies in the USA.

Maployed provides an initial view of jobs available in each state. The initial view on Maployed gives an interesting overview of the job market and the economy, allowing you to see at a glance how many jobs are available in each state.

You can search the map by job type, company or by salary. For example, if you want to work for Google you can enter 'Google' into the company search field and view all the job vacancies for the search giant across the United States.

If you click on an individual job's map marker you are taken to the job's details on Indeed.

Direct Marketing with Google Maps

TalentMap.jobs

TalentMap.jobs, combines Google Maps with health care occupational data to help employers visualize the size and geography of their local talent market.

You can search the map by Occupation/Speciality and by location. TalentMap.jobs will then return the micro-targeted sourcing options (e.g., direct mail, e-mail marketing and search engine marketing) that are available for that area.

UK Jobs on Google Maps

TotalJobs

UK job searching website TotalJobs has introduced a new Google Maps based interface to display jobs vacancies geographically.

Totaljobs attracts 2.9 million jobseekers each month. The new maps tool allows up to 200 jobs to be located on just one map. People searching for jobs in London, for example, are able to search for jobs within a specified distance of their chosen location and see these highlighted on the map.

If you click on a map marker you can view the job details and potential jobs can then be selected and dropped into your job basket.
