Ofcom's Digital Communications Maps
Today in the UK Ofcom (the regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries) has published a series of maps to show the reach of digital communications across the country.
Using data supplied by communications providers, they provide a picture of outdoor mobile coverage and mobile broadband availability, as well as Freeview and Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) radio coverage. The maps can be found on the Ofcom Maps Section.
One of the maps is the Sitefinder Mobile Phone Base Station, a searchable Google Map of all UK mobile phone antennas. You can search the map by address or postcode.
Other Google Maps show UK broadband speeds and availability, indicative UK local TV coverage information, digital terrestrial television coverage, mobile phone coverage and digital radio reception.
